Mrs. Lenz   Welcome to 7th grade science! This year our focus will be on life science, emphasizing critical thinking in answering the question “How does science affect our daily lives?” To list a few skills addressed over the year, students will learn how to use microscopes, to investigate similarities and differences in structure and function of cells and larger organisms, and will increase their understanding of interconnectedness of living things and the environment. I fervently believe this generation of students needs a strong basic knowledge of scientific processes to become safe, healthy, and competent citizens on planet Earth. I hope some go on to become great scientists of the 21st century! This will be a dynamic year!
